Kauai Mokihana Festival 2013
Kaua’i Mokihana Festival is a week-long celebration from Sept. 22-28, 2013. This festival is a wonderful, not to be missed cultural event especially for those interested in hula and music. The hula competitions at the Kauai Beach Resort Thurs-Sat the 26th-28th are a great favorite and do sell out.
The theme this year is Olo Pona Hawaii (Hawaiian Health), and Kumu Keala Ching will be giving a cultural presentation relating to Olo Puna on Wed the 25th at the Kauai Museum at 6pm. Kumu Keala is a Hawaiian cultural educator, composer, song writer, and spiritual advisor to many Hawaiian organizations, and has much to share.
Tickets may be purchased online (click the link below) or call (808) 652-4497 and ask for Iwa Dawbarn. Tickets cost an additional $10 more at the door.
