A week long celebration honoring Kauai’s beloved Prince Kuhio birthday starts this Saturday. At 10: A.M. at Prince Kuhio Park a commemorative ceremony will be held with the Royal Order of Kamehameha services. Prince Kuhio later became a politician to the territory of Hawaii and served as a delegate in the U.S. Congress. Many important laws were introduced by him, including a reserve of 200,000 acres for Hawaiian homesteaders.
