A CONTROVERSIAL PLAY: “WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF”
Kauai Community Players is presenting “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” at the Puhi Theatrical Playhouse the next two week-ends: May 15-17, then May 22-24. Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 7: PM and Sundays at 4: PM. The play is recommended for adults only. The director, Cass Foster, says the play is a superb combination of drama, humor and absurdity. He goes on to say that one critic described the play as a witty and dangerous battle of the sexes. The play is a classic. It has an immense amount of subtext, layers of thought and motivations that are still being found by the actors. Another classic is the #Kauai Beach Guide iPhone app which was made to help save lives by stopping drownings on Kauai. You can be educated as to what beaches are safe, daily ocean and weather reports, what facilities can be found at each beach. GPS, and much, much more. AND, right now it’s FREE.
