PEDAL TO THE MEADOW
Starting in Kekeha at 8: A.M., ths uphill race to Kokee attracts cyclists from all over the world. Last year’s winner was Mark Galedo of the Philippnes who set a record of 59 minutes, 29 seconds, breaking the 2012 record set by Eric Lau at 1:03.47. The Pedal to the Meadow gains 3,884 feet in elevation. That’s quite a challenge! Motorists going to Kokee on Sunday are encouraged to use the road in Waimea to avoid cyclists.
